TŌ MĀTOU KŌRERO: OUR STORY
Huria Trust was established in 1986 by ngā kaumātua o te hapū o Ngāi Tamarāwaho, to umbrella and strengthen the tribal activities which were centred around 'Tamateapōkaiwhenua', at Huria Marae, Tauranga Moana.
Built from very humble beginnings, the Trust has developed a solid reputation over the last 30 years by fulfilling the needs and aspirations of whānau māori within the hapū of Ngāi Tamarāwaho and the wider Tauranga & Western BOP communities.

Huria Trust is committed to the advancement of Health, Social, Education and Cultural services to the communities it serves.
Our services are delivered by experienced and trained staff who have acquired strong networks and capability to guide, advocate, support and empower whānau to access community services, both clinical and
Tino Rangatiratanga has it's roots in the empowerment of each individual, whānau, hapū and Iwi so they are able to sustain control of themselves as their knowledge & skill base grows. All of these things we believe are essential to our well-being and unique identity.
