Nurturing Whānau, Supporting Māmā and Tamariki

Kahu Taurima provides essential support for māmā and whānau with tamariki aged up to 5 years old. We offer a range of services designed to nurture the wellbeing of both parents and children. From health guidance to early childhood education, our team is here to assist you every step of the way. Together, we help ensure your tamariki thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Kahu Taurima programme at Huria Trust is dedicated to supporting pregnant wāhine by connecting them with the essential services they need for a healthy pregnancy. This includes access to midwives, doctors, and counsellors, as well as a range of health and social support services—both within Huria Trust and through external providers.

Services for all whānau

Kahu Taurima is creating a way to make sure that every whānau get the care they are entitled to, in the way they need it. We are calling this Services for All Whānau.

Some families might need help that feels right for their culture, values, or unique circumstances, while other families might need extra support for parents or children with disabilities.

This universal way of working is a flexible, inclusive approach that wraps around every whānau, ensuring the services are tailored to their unique needs, and empowering them with the care and support they need to flourish.
