Boost your skills, upgrade your future
We will support you to get on the right training and employment pathway for a career you will enjoy.
Study and work to complete a NZ Qualification, plus any short courses you may need.
We’ll work on finding employment, an apprenticeship or further education for when you complete your training. And you’ll be supported with pastoral care along the way.
This programme is for whānau of all ages and stages; rangatahi, people wanting a career change, or people returning to the workforce.
Current Opportunities
1. Te Mahi ā Nuku – Work with the whenua, grow a better future
We have upcoming opportunities for training and work with Te Mahi ā Nuku, the hapū-based plant nursery and training facility. Grow your skills and practical experience in the environment, with an emphasis on learning from an Ao Māori perspective, including tikanga in the taiao and the maramataka. The Level 2 NZ Certificate in Horticulture with Land Based Training begins in March 2024.
2. Construction Careers – Build your skills, build your career
We also have building, construction and labourer training and work opportunities available. Get the qualifications you need to get started, with support from Huria Trust along the way.
